Consultant/co-author

Doteveryone was a London based think-tank founded by Martha Lane Fox, with a mission to fight for a fairer internet. As part of their remit exploring how technology is changing society, I was commissioned to collaborate on a discovery project to experiment how imagining different science fictions could inspire the tech sector to be more inclusive. The culmination of our research was the recommendation of a new strategic creative initiative. Here’s the beta version of the white paper:

Space Invaders: Reclaiming the future through rebellious stories and diverse voices (November 2017), Yasmin Khan, Annette Mees and Ollie Sheldrick (Doteveryone).

   Specialist Assessor, Cultural Protection Fund

In partnership with the Department for Culture Media and Sport, the British Council has launched a new £30 million fund to help to create sustainable opportunities for economic and social development through building capacity to foster, safeguard and promote cultural heritage affected by conflict overseas. The Fund aims to protect and preserve physical monuments and religious sites, as well as ‘intangible’ heritage: inherited traditions, beliefs and cultural identity, passed down through generations – all of which have been increasingly under threat in the Middle East and North Africa.

  Artistic Assessor,  1418now

Commissioned by Morris Hargreaves and McIntyre (2016) to assess an artistic installation by Pakistani artist, Imran Qureshi, in Bradford as part of 1418now, a major national cultural programme to mark the centenary of the First World War.
